Exodus 3:16c-17a

God doesn’t just stand idly by when His people are mistreated or hurt. He watches. He sees. And He promises. He promises to “bring you up” – to lift you, to carry you, to be with you and support you. To bring you up out of your misery.

Our circumstances might not always change like the Israelites, but God does not change and today still offers to “bring you up out of your misery” with peace that passes all understanding and joy that cannot be taken away.

Jesus. He promised Jesus. Jesus came down in order to bring us up.
