Good enough?

Are you good enough? No. Not really. But then neither am I. None of us are. Isn’t that good news?  No?!

It totally is, and this is why. Get Colossians 1 open in front of you and head to verse 25. I’m going to let you in on a secret – *cue hushed whisper* – for “ages and generations” this mystery was kept hidden – not David, not Rahab, not Moses, not many of the ‘greats’ in the Bible were privy to this secret, but we are, because God gave Paul the mission to disclose it to the “Lord’s people” (that’s you and me)!

So, here it is. Get ready. This incredible mystery, this secret that was concealed for so long. This is it.

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Do you get that?  Christ IN you.  Christ – Him, the person of Christ, Jesus – His power, His strength, His wisdom, His kindness, His patience, His holiness, His equipping, the power of the cross… IN YOU!

So are you good enough?  No.  But He is.  Jesus is always enough.  Always present.  Always there to be called on in your moment of need.  You don’t go through this week Christ ‘and’ you.  You don’t have to face things on your own with Jesus hanging back ready to be called on when you need to tag team out because things get too much.  No.  You go through this week Christ ‘in’ you. It’s all about Jesus. It’s always been about Jesus. He is ready and waiting to flood you with the expectation of his glory. HIS GLORY. In you. Do you get this? This changes everything. So hold your head high, be bold, and go into wherever you’ve been called “with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in” you! I am praying for you this week that you get a deeper revelation of what it means to have Christ in you, the hope of glory.
